Very nice resort with great 1br room options all with massive ocean view balconies. Staff are very friendly. Dining options are more than sufficient and of good quality. Pool was not crowded and the beach while smallish was very nice. A super relaxing trip.

Nice stay, but small pool and average food.
Sunset plaza was a mixed bag - the staff was incredibly helpful (Rudolph stood out for us), the rooms were modern and clean. However, they only have one pool and it is is relatively small, compared to our other stay in PV. The food was a mixed bag as well - they only have a restaurant where you order stuff (not a buffet as we had in our other hotel), and the Mexican food was just average. They had a Thai and Mediterranean night and those had below average food, if you've ever eaten those cuisines. The bakery shop was cute and open late, but the good were again of poor quality (think Walmart cookies or Croissants). We only tried non-alcoholic drinks - the mango smoothie was made from a syrup. We were surprised why this hotel was highly priced and rated.

IMPORTANT/ MASSIVE CONSTRUCTION There is a huge noisy construction at this hotel and during our reservation through the TD Expedia , there was no note about this situation. Also, there is no note even through the hotel website. This massive construction has almost ruined our vacation as it starts around 9am until 7:30pm even on Saturdays. They are building a new tower in the resort just next to the hotel building and expanding the hotel. When we were booking our room we put a note and requested a quiet room even at that time we were not aware of the construction. During our 7 days stay, we didn’t have any relaxation time in our room or pool or at their restaurant. We tried to be patient and relax, however it was not possible. I believe with this massive construction they even have closed their resort and shouldn’t have accepted any guest.
