Connect Hotel City

Very good. But the room abit small with no window.

Considering i was called at 23:30 about 1 hour before i was to arrive at the hotel after a wedding in the archipelago informing me that they were overbooked but had relocated me to another hotel where they had guaranteed spot for me for 1000 SEK more then original price. I would not have mind if they offered to pay the price difference but as this was not an option we decided to unbook the stay and go for another hotel instead.

Excellent location if you take the bus from the airport to Fridhemsplan, just a short walk to the hotel, both check in and checkout was handle with excellent Swedish customer service.

good location, and I'm sure there are often complaints about the economy interior rooms, but we were fine with the size, not having windows, etc. What was really HORRIBLE was 1) the pillows - and no other option available from the front desk, very hard and too thick for back sleepers, and 2) the room temperature - which was a sweaty balmy 25C after walking around in 0C temperatures this and the unusable pillows made for a very sleepless and frustrating night. Considering our only real need for the room was a place to sleep at night...this was very disappointing. And yes, we did everything imaginable to the thermostat, but even on the coolest setting, the trickle of cool air was not enough to compensate or affect the temperature of the room. On top of this, the pet fee (even for a service animal) was 200 KR per night - seems a bit steep considering we were there for two nights and did not request cleaning in between.

The hotel was perfectly located in a beautiful part of the city, some 3-5 minutes away from a well-connected metro station. You can even walk to the city center. The breakfast was just right. They had everything you could want. Served from 6-10, 6:30-10:30 on the weekends. There very gluten-free (and I think some vegan) options as well. Several types of coffee, huge choice of bread, cured meats, salads and sweets. Eggs, bacon, hot-dogs, swedish meatballs. Nice choice of cereals. The room was small (and we chose a room wothoyt window), but the bathroom was very nice, perfectly sized, incredibly clean. Room was also clean. The one issue was that there wasn’t a closet in that one. The bad was just fine. I wouldn’t say there was anything wrong with it. But I did sleep in better ones in several hotels during my travels. The staff were incredibly nice and polite. They were also very helpful. They will show you which train or bus to use, and which station to get off. Cleaning crew comes every day, towels are replaced on a daily level. All in all, I would definitely go there again. And I definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nicely located hotel for a buck.

The room was very dark with no window to natural light. very depressing and would never ever try it again.

Having stayed at the hotel before I have to say this was the least pleasant experience. The cabin room, the room type I usually choose, was extremely warm and I was moved to another cabin room, however as it was almost as warm as the first room I didn't sleep much. The guy in the reception was really nice and told me if it was too warm as well I could come down to him again, but as it was very late and I was too tired to so my own choice to give the room a go. However, the next morning I went down to the reception again and was moved to a double room instead which was much better. Pleasant temperature and fresh air, albeit noisy til late at night due to the bar across the road. (In the cabin room there was an issue with sewerage smell coming through as well.) I was told they had had problems with the cabin rooms so it wasn't just me, and that they would forward the complaints. As I said, I have stayed here before and the location is excellent, it's clean and modern and the staff are brilliant, always helping you in every way they can, however this time the visit was spoiled by the fact there were above issues that really need to be looked into.
