The perfect stay. I couldn't have asked for better accommodation. The room was comfortable, clean and so adorable. The people could not have been more accommodating. Great breakfast as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a weekend in Dublin
What a great place. Check-in with the bar-keep, he checks for your name in a handwritten reservation book, he hands you the keys, and you step back in time to a wonderful victorian-feeling hotel that is the perfect venue for a weekend in Dublin. Clean, nostalgic, simple, value, and wonderful!

Dublin on Business
Just for one night on business. Friendly staff at check-in and at breakfast. No car parking but close enough to center eg. Temple Bar 5 - 10 mins walk. Noisy outside late at night, up to 2pm as repairs were being carried out on the railway line right beside the rooms.

Stay above a pub...why not?
Interesting space located above a pub. Only gripe would be twin beds, not sure if there are rooms with larger beds available. Very friendly staff greeted us and helped us bring our luggage upstairs. Unfortunately a little later in the day another staff member wasn't the most pleasant fellow to deal with. Surprisingly quiet considering the area. The pub is a great place to have a drink whether you are on the way out or coming back in for the night. A different accommodation that is worth a try for a night or two if you want to be in the middle of the thick of things in Dublin.

Not recommended
This hotel seems extremely overpriced for the accommodation. Granted, most place in Dublin seem overpriced but here is why I was disappointed in our stay. First, the person on-duty for checking us in kept us waiting for about 20 minutes to check in. This isn't the biggest upset, but we had communicated with him the day before and I felt it was understood the time for check in. After that, it just kind of rolled downhill. The room we had was on the second floor, on the corner. The view was alright, the room looked nice, and it was clean, but that's about where it stops. The windows are old, which means a LOT of street noise gets in, not a good thing for being on a busy street. There is no AC & the room was hot in May, & since you can't open a window at night due to the noise, this is a problem. There was only one outlet with 2 plug-ins accessible in the entire room, all the others were occupied/tucked away. And they were both on one side of the bed with packing tape holding them together. The bathroom was a mess, the toilet seat wouldn't stay up, the bathroom shelf was so loose you had to be careful setting anything on it, the shower sprayed--no joke-- straight OUT of the shower stall when you turned it on, and it took about 3-4 minutes for faucet water to heat up after an absence. Also, the rooms are NOT sound-proof. We had a neighbor with a bad cough and it was audible throughout the night. In summary, incredibly overpriced, had issues that are not fixable. I don't recommend.
