First class hotel in a fantastic location
Even though we had a few issues at the start of our stay we still enjoyed ourselves and will return. It is in a fantastic location, easy reach of Auckland Central by car. It was lovely to look out onto water and the walk around the basin was just perfect. The amenities are first class. The overall condition of the hotel is also first class. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Especially worth mentioning was their room division manager who went out of her way to sort out our problems to our satisfaction. Also worth mentioning was their great maintenance staff member and the friendly chef in their buffet restaurant. It is really sad, that like everywhere they are struggling with staffing issues which makes things difficult, however they should be applauded for the effort they are putting in to still run and manage a first class operation. Well done Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre 🙂
