A mixed bag of a stay!
Stayed this past weekend with my partner and 7 month old baby girl. We ended up with an apartment style room in the adjoining building, which on paper suited us well. The hotel looks like they're carrying out building work. The rubbish from these works was spilling out from a side entrance and a skip both of which greated us every time we entered and exited the apartment building. The security door at the entrance to the apartment building wasn't working correctly and was often unlocked. We initially thought our apartment was great but that subsided quickly. It was very stuffy and warm and with no airflow. Coupled with dusty fixtures and fittings it made for an uncomfortable environment. We've all come back home with coughs and sniffs. Despite the the disappointing room and exit/entrance area the service from the staff and food in the bar was excellent. We had breakfast both mornings in the bar and it was brilliant. The coffee was also top notch.

2/10 Poor

The worst hotel you will find in Ireland
This hotel was horrible. The misery started before we even showed up with an email of “hey, btw we have a night club that is open until 3am. Enjoy your stay.” When we arrived, we ended up in one of their apartment suites. Sounds great but very much the opposite. The carpets are filthy and stained, there is mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom and the whole room smells like a crack den. The beds were horribly uncomfortable (we tried out all 3 beds in the apartment but none of them were good) and the pillows were like lumpy pieces of paper (also tried every one of those). There is no air conditioning even though they have it listed on their ad so if you sleep hot, don’t bother because they didn’t have any fans to give out either and there aren’t even any ceiling fans. Really, we were worried the night club was going to be the biggest noise problem but it wasn’t. The train that ran past our window so close that you can read the passenger’s shirts from the bed it’s so close, no exaggeration, kept us awake until the bars closed. Once the nightclub closed at 3am, we had drunken screaming all throughout the halls and outside our window (which you have to leave open for ventilation) to keep us awake until 5am when the train kicks back up. Hands down the worst hotel stay in Ireland, I wouldn’t even stay here again if they paid me to.
