This hotel was horrible. The misery started before we even showed up with an email of “hey, btw we have a night club that is open until 3am. Enjoy your stay.” When we arrived, we ended up in one of their apartment suites. Sounds great but very much the opposite. The carpets are filthy and stained, there is mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom and the whole room smells like a crack den. The beds were horribly uncomfortable (we tried out all 3 beds in the apartment but none of them were good) and the pillows were like lumpy pieces of paper (also tried every one of those). There is no air conditioning even though they have it listed on their ad so if you sleep hot, don’t bother because they didn’t have any fans to give out either and there aren’t even any ceiling fans.
Really, we were worried the night club was going to be the biggest noise problem but it wasn’t. The train that ran past our window so close that you can read the passenger’s shirts from the bed it’s so close, no exaggeration, kept us awake until the bars closed. Once the nightclub closed at 3am, we had drunken screaming all throughout the halls and outside our window (which you have to leave open for ventilation) to keep us awake until 5am when the train kicks back up.
Hands down the worst hotel stay in Ireland, I wouldn’t even stay here again if they paid me to.
