I’ve never stayed in a Parador before, but would now try another. The De Alcala is very clean and modern, and in an area that allows easy walking to all sorts of bars and restaurants. The staff was friendliness and helpful. I’d recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is on a quiet street and walkable to all major attractions. There is a parking garage a block away so parking is convenient. The size of the standard twin room is good for two people with not so many luggage. Front desk staff was helpful, restaurant serves decent food. During our stay there are street sidewalk pavement constructions near the hotel but no big deal. Stayed three nights, had a very nice time in Alcala De Henares. No complaints. I gave it an excellent rating for this stay.

Yesterday this would have been a glowing review. Arrogant and incompetent management ruin an otherwise lovely hotel. Financial processes are from 1970. Billing error on their part resulted in an amazingly rude exchange. They still refuse to acknowledge it was in any way their error or to apologize. Shame really. Rank and file employees are terrific. Stay somewhere else.
