We stayed just the one night and thought the location was perfect (walking distance to train station) and a ferry out the front of the property (which doesn’t get big lines if any!). The room was nice, big, and clean. Staff were very helpful and let us leave bags in a locked storage room before check in. We didn’t have breakfast as had to leave early so cannot comment. Would stay again next time in Venice!

Good
Clean, quiet,spartan accommodations. Well-located.
This lodging was adequate. Room 211 was quiet and definitely clean, but spartan: white walls, no decoration, no view, no comfy chair, a minimally comfortable bed, and so-so air conditioning. Bathroom was large. Wifi worked well. The elevator was too slow to use regularly, but allowed us to get luggage up two floors when we arrived, and back down 3 days later. Breakfast was OK: coffee, a couple kinds of sweet cake/rolls, croissants, crackers, jams, sliced ham and cheese, hard boiled eggs, coffee. We chose Casa Sant'Andrea for the location (close to the bus and train stations, to the people-mover from the cruise ship terminal to Pizarralle Roma, and right in front of the P. Roma vaporetto stop) and it was as convenient as we expected. The front desk staff spoke English well and did a nice job advising us on which vaporetto routes to use, which bus to take to the airport, and walking routes to places they suggested we visit. In short, we were disappointed that In such a charming and romantic city, we had chosen such a spartan location. Next time we'd chose a more expensive but more memorable room.

Location Location Location
Location, location, location. The place was not fancy but the location was great. One complain is the elevator very slow and small. It is used for luggage. I did not remember if it was big enough for a wheelchair. You can take your luggage to the cruise. You do not even have to use the People Mover. It’s a waste of money when you used the People Mover. At the corner is a grocery store. The vaporetta is right around the corner. You can take the Express bus ATVO from the Marco Polo airport to the Piazza Roma and the hotel is about a block from there. We got the 3-day vaporetta and bus ticket for 40 Euros. We use the tickets to go to Murano, Burano, and around Venice. For young adults (under 29), the 3-day ticket costs 28 Euros. The Burano Island (specialty in laces) is beautiful with canals and colorful houses. It is more quiet than Venice. Overall, we had a great stay in Venice.
