We booked the hotel based on its advertised location near the old town and on-site parking, laundry availability and rooms with two beds. It was across the street from the beginning of the old town area. Check. As for parking at the hotel, laundry availability and two beds, it didn’t deliver. They did offer a fairly good parking option a city block away, so that worked out okay, but the driving path is narrow so entering and exiting in a large vehicle is not recommended! The hotel was lovely and was fairly clean which was much appreciated, but the amenities were lacking. No coffee, tea kettle, or amenities beyond a shampoo/body wash combo were provided. Our room had a conspicuous sign saying ‘no smoking’ but the hallway and staircase two floors down to the lobby and the lobby itself smelled heavily of cigarette smoke our first 2 days. It was cleared of smoke our final day. The hotel is next to the streetcar line, so offers easy access to public transportation a few steps away. The streetcars and bus system appear to be electric so are quiet and didn’t interfere with our sleep. Several restaurant options are nearby, as is a Rewe grocery store. Over all, it was a great location, but maybe not the best hotel since it did not provide the parking, laundry and two beds we specifically looked for when booking.
