We enjoyed our stay. Everywhere was clean, but on closer look, a lot of decorating needs done. Our paint work needs touched up in our. Chalet and outside everywhere needs a face lift. Used the pool, great, but not the restaurant. Would stay again.

Not a particularly memorable experience.
There are better alternatives which offer more value for money. The staff are nice but the rooms are tired and need a refurbishment. On the Saturday night I stayed, there was no Food available on the premises due to a wedding they were hosting. If you are a young family with kids, the pool would be great although not all the facilities were operational during my weekend. Overall, it was just about ok but I won’t be back.

Nice but tired.
Nice place. Wouldn’t say 4 star. cottage 86 quite tired and worn out. Nice garden and duck pond. Swimming pool often fully booked despite not many (< the 16 max). Great service and friendly staff. Kid’s entertainment lacking and basic.

Lots of positives from our one night stay here but as we were travelling with a toddler, there were a couple of things that made it a little more difficult than it could have been. First of all, and not the hotel's fault, there was an issue with the water supply which meant we couldn't bath our son in the evening. We had dinner in the Uisge restaurant which was fine but also had loud music blaring like it was a bar but at 6.30pm on a Sunday evening. Finally, we took our son to the pool in the morning for what we were told was the kids swimming session and the pool room and water temperature were so cold that we had to take him back out after a few minutes as he was shivering (other families who were in the pool were also complaining about the cold). Overall, it was a nice place to spend a night but could certainly be a little better for families!
