Upon arrival, I thought great, we got the last parking space. Checked in with a friendly receptionist. We booked a twin room + when we got to the room, there was a king bed + a single bed. As I am 30 weeks pregnant, I was delighted with the extra space. Another positive was the powerful shower.
Unfortunately when I went to have a shower, I had to step over the bath and there was no grab bar for getting back out which was quite risky being in my third trimester in case I slipped and fell.
I knew not to ask for another room as the hotel was full. We had tried to book an extra room for our friends, that's how we knew it was full. We went out for dinner to The Oliver which was fantastic.
We came back, had drinks in the lobby. I retired at 11pm and left the girls to enjoy the music. By 12:20am the music was still really loud so I called reception to ask when it would stop. The gentleman informed me that the music would stop at 1am. I explained that l came up at 11pm for an early night but no change of room was offered and I didnt ask as I knew they were full. The music duly stopped but the walls are thin and unfortunately you could hear each room around us as they opened/closed their doors etc.
Breakfast...toast and croissants were yummy. The eggs were awful. Firstly I ordered a veggie breakfast + they brought me a full Irish. They changed it + brought me a veggie one with undercooked eggs. I explained I ordered medium, they came back with eggs completely overdone and inedible.
