Exceptional Staff
Myself & my friend loved the hotel. The staff were exceptional from allowing us early check in to organising a special request for the room. Its a great location, easy walking distance to city centre with Haymarket train station and bus services accross the road. We really enjoyed our stay

I was greeted very warmly by the reception desk. She showed me directly to my room and explained the times for breakfast, etc. The room looked exactly like the photo I saw when I booked it. Everything was clean and pretty. Only think I forgot to ask was how the wall heater worked, it seemed to be off in the morning and I was slightly chilled getting dressed, but it was a minor issue for me. I will definitely keep this little gem on my "hotels to stay" list.

Nice hotel, recommend it....
Good hotel, nice location.... reception very helpful on check-in and out.... property is divided over 3 houses (all next to each other on the street), your room key works on the front door also... Roome, nice size, comfy beds, very clean, good shower, wifi etc... The trams and 100(airport) bus stops just 100 yards from the hotel.... Recommended!!!

Good 6.0
Not as advertised
The hotel itself was perfectly adequate for our needs and the service was friendly and efficient. However the room was significantly different from what was described on our booking. It was described as having a patio and a garden view and it had neither. It was also described as 25m2 but was nearer to 5m2. The impression from the online description was of a much more luxurious property than the reality. While I would be happy to stay there again I felt it was overpriced.

Splendid Stay
Stayed for the first time last week, from checking in to checking out, absolutely faultless service, clean, quiet and spacious. The only thing I suffered with, it took a bit of adjustment, was the heating. But that's a personal preference.

Lovely hotel near Haymarket station and tram
We stayed in Edin for a few nights to sight-see and go to a concert, market, etc. Chose the Haymarket because asthetically it is a great balance between the lovely 'older' style that hotels used to have and had great modern style bathroom. It really is great in this respect. Room was spotless. The staff are really freindly and great. If I was to try to find 'issues' - then the duvet was small for the bed and didnt hang over edge even before we got in and so we asked for an extra one. Partly this is because the bed is so huge I guess. We booked the 'no breakfast' option and paid for it one morning. Whilst there was a good selection we found the cooked breakfast to be cold and unappealing so didnt have another. My personal bugbear is (being GF) that i call in advance to check what options there are e.g. GF sausages, etc. i am always told that there are GF options of all these things and then I get there and there aren't. This hotel was no different. We would defo use this hotel again. It was also lovely and warm. Thanks
