A really lovely and spotlessly clean hotel set in gorgeous grounds just a short walk from the centre of Cork and both the bus & train stations. The staff were all wonderful and I'm so grateful for their kindness in helping me get checked in early when I arrived on Sunday. Fantastic breakfasts too. An absolute gem of a hotel.

There are no elevators, really treacherous and inadequate parking, no fans, and windows that do not open enough to provide air flow. The reception is behind full glass like a convenience store in a really bad part of town. Also, this was the smallest room of our entire stay with no place to set out a large suitcase. The walk to restaurants was down a very steep hill, and we kept hearing drunk screaming as we were walking to and from dinner. The breakfast is only by appointment, so we missed it trying to get packed in the morning , as they gave us an appt that was at the exact time as check out without warning us. The cleaning staff was however wonderful and helped us look for a lost item. They were the one bright spot in an other mediocre stay.
