Close to town
The hotel is conveniently located to Marienplatz with just enough separation to not be crowded. Closing the window was sufficient to shut out the noise. The room was small (compared to US hotels) but clean and comfortable. The breakfast had lots of different things packed into a small area. You're sure to find something you like, though it might get repetitious after several days unless you're good about trying different things.

Value for money, lost cost accommodation
Older style hotel; small rooms but clean and well maintained; staff very helpful and friendly; great location for exploring old Munich

Would not recommend. Staff were friendly though!
The staff at reception were always friendly. The room was not in a good condition. The shutters did not work and the fan was also broken and very dusty. The weather was very warm so the room was unbearable to be in. The bathroom was also old. The staff was helpful and looked for a working fan for us. The location was good, but I wouldn't stay there again. I've stayed at quite a few hotels in Munich city and this was the worst.

A boutique gem!
My wife and I stayed here 2 nights. The local area is fabulous, we walked to Mari Platzl, Hoffbrauhaus, etc. Breakfast was wonderful, bed was very comfortable. This was my first European bed, A Double is a pretty big bed, with a line down the middle. I gave the hotel a 4, because the room was fairly small. Still very comfortable, but not that big. I would recommend this hotel, and if coming to Munich, would stay here again. I reserve my 5s for this level of quality, and a bit bigger. Staff was very friendly, and spoke English very well. Stay here!

The room was a little dirty. The carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed and the floor in the bathroom was dirty before we entered. The courtyard that our window was connected to, became very noisy after midnight with people that seemed to have been drunk. They were yelling, singing, puking, etc. I know that’s not the hotels fault, but important to note. Hotel staff we’re friendly.
