The rooms are all differently decorated in an eclectic and comfortable style. The dining room is spacious. The roof overlooks all of Cape Town. We are avid international travelers and this is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Amazing value for the price. Our meals here were better than anything else we ate in Cape Town, especially the beautiful breakfast buffet. Incredible stay! We stayed at Dorp for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon as soon as we arrived from the UK and it was the perfect place to start our trip. We stayed in the Onderdorp Wing and were given an absolutely beautiful room with Table Mountain views and a lovely fireplace we were able to light on chilly mornings. Megan and the team were wonderful and we appreciated having a bottle of bubbly waiting for us on arrival and a lovely card from the hotel for our honeymoon. Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect from the breakfast, to the grounds, to the architecture. We found the location to be convenient and used uber to get everywhere, but also appreciated that it was outside of the busy city area. We will be back!

This review will not do justice to the wonderful gem we found at the Dorp. A most unlikely spot as you climb the very steep hill but an oasis of pleasure awaits you. The high ceilings made it cool during our summer visit. The main lounge is beautifully set out with a wide range of tables and chairs to suit couples and larger groups. We had a room with a spectacular view of Table Mountain. The building included a shared communal space perfect for relaxing away from the main hotel with a card table, games, books and a small snooker table as well as its own bar - perfect if you are looking for a group booking. Special mention for the spa - it might be small but the massage/masseuse was excellent. I don’t think I thanked her enough for the great patience and flexibility! It was a little windy to really enjoy the roof terrace but make sure to go up as the panorama is wonderful. Overall would highly recommend and the staff made the whole stay incredibly enjoyable. Thank you.
