Goof for value but not wifi in my room
The hotel is dated and that is noticeable in the conditions of the carpets, furniture and lift, but I guess that is what you can get for the price. The staff was helpful and friendly and the location is excellent and well-connected by Metro (Rogier station is within walking distance). If you come from Severtem airport there is a bus that leaves you very nearby so if you have enough time it can be very cheap. The only major problem that I experienced is that the internet service is only working on the first and second floor and my room was in room 8. This was a real shame because if I wanted to use their wifi I need to go to the reception which is not a comfortable place to work. I saw that there was a group having a conference or events on the second floor and they were working from there, but again it is not practical for the many guests visiting Brussels mainly for work not to have access to wifi in their rooms. It could be argued that the inclusion of this service in the advert is deceiving.

6/10 Good

There was a certain very local kind of charm to the place (one can imagine a time when it was a lovely hotel) and the staff were friendly, but the place is definitely not in good shape. It was tolerable for 2 nights, but I can't say I'd go back.

8/10 Very good

If you're looking for something that's near the center this is a great location. The hotel feels a bit outdated but it has plenty of space, the staff is very friendly, it is located within 10 minutes walking distance to where there are plenty of restaurants, bars, sightseeing locations. I think it's fair for the price, I had a good experience here.
