The location is beautiful and the Inn is very rustic. Quiet and calm, with a lovely balcony to view the lake. If you are staying a few days, be prepared with food for breakfast as the continental breakfast is very limited with no real fresh options. Cereal, reheated waffles/french toast and cinnamon buns.

The rooms were clean. The pillows could be replaced. They were flat and uncomfortable. I did notice that they did improve the pool area from last year. Did the maintenance needed. The price is kind of high. Could at least give a discount on the additional rooms rented. The desk workers were very cordial and helpful.

    Lovely getaway!
It was a wonderful place to stay! We had a walk out patio to a view of the beautiful lake. The breakfast isn’t hot, but still delicious! The staff was so friendly and kind! We will definitely be back, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the lovely pool!

Customer service at it's finest!! :)
Sharon was the best...Her customer service was outstanding!! She caught a glitch that we were cancelling our room and notified me email asking about it. She was on top of it as we did not cancel our reservations..Thanks Sharon for catching that and your great personality and service!! Also, Love the accent. What a pleasure to talk to.

Needs updated photos. No slides at the pool.
They need to update the photos. Our kids were excited about the big yellow water slide and frog slide in a shallow kiddie pool from the photos. The water slide was gone and the middle pool was filled and covered in carpeting for some reason. The staff was friendly and the room was good but the kids were definitely disappointed.

Spacious room with a kitchen sink, mini fridge, microwave, kitchen table set, sofa, coffee table and electric fire place. I had a room with a lake view and it was really nice. The decor is a little dated but if you’re not expecting a 5 star hotel you won’t be disappointed. I see some reviews complaining about lack of breakfast options. The hotel is located in a very small city and It is unlikely you’ll be able to stay here without a car. I suggest taking a 2 minute drive down the street to T Pattenn Cafe which has a good breakfast selection and you can do dinner at a restaurant called The Dam which is probably a 5 minute drive. If you don’t like those options there is a McDonald’s, Subway, and grocery store within a 15 minute drive from the hotel. There are a lot of fishermen who lodge at the hotel. They congregate in front of the hotel, in the lobby, or on the side when they’re grilling and drinking. Overall I was satisfied with my experience her.

    out of order (everything)
Chances are, the amenity you are counting on is going to be broke or in poor repair. As a couple ahead of me was attempting to check in, the clerk seemed to be having trouble operating her check in softwsre, so a service that short take a couple of minutes stretched into 100 mins. The manager seemed reluctant to leave hed desk to back up the clerk and assit me in getting checkef in. The candy machine was stocked but broke, the soda machine was new and fancy, but almost stole my quarters, although labeled to take $5 bills, it did not. After inserting the correct amount of change ($2.50), the machine spit out 3 quarters and no soda. I hit the coin return and it spit out 12 more quarters. I reinserted 10 quarters and finally got my drink. The hair dryer worked as long as you contined to depress the button on the wall. The card readed to let guests access a side door was broke so we could not reenter that way. Walking to the center door, one of the staff remarked "that seems to be the case for just about everything." The pillows were pancake flat so dont count on them for any kind of propping to read or watch tv. The free continental breakfast was pathetically barren. At best, this hotel is only worth $80 per night. I would not recommend this hotel unless new and motivated management that will keep up maintence.

Angela was amazing, she took care of us. Our air wasn’t working in our room, she went with us to try and fix it. Angela moved us into a suite for the same price. Very personable, interacted with us and other customers. She made our trip extra special, customer service Fabulous! Valuable employee! Thank you 😊

Perfect stopover from Voyageurs National Park
A nice stop for going to Voyageurs National Park the following day. Right on the lake which would have been nice to have some time to explore. Checked in and went back out to see the bears at Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary. A very cool place and yes, we saw a lot of black bears including sows with cubs!
