Good location, walking distance of about 10 minutes to the casino, close to downtown. Large room but small bathroom. If its warm outside the great air conditioning was awesome. Very friendly staff. Tiny elevator Very comfortable feel and overall a great value

Very poor greeting on checking in. Just not there with the service. On the plus side there is a great Italian restaurant (La Gondola) close by.

Pokey period hotel
Although in a period building, the overall impression of this hotel is that it is pokey. They tried to palm us off with a single room when we booked a double room with single occupancy. This really wound me up and they were only able to offer us a basement overflow room as an alternative. Beware!

We stayed in top floor 2 bedroom penthouse. It was a beautiful room. Very clean, comfortable, and less than 10 mins walking distance to the Karhaus.

The place was really lovely, elegant, and charming. Friendly and overly polite staff, and a decent breakfast. All the public places had a soft piano in the background, and just gave the feeling of royalty. The root for the single person with the single bed was a bit small. :/

Best stay in a historical Hotel during our entire 2 week journey through Germany. Beautifully decorated with lots of charm and a friendly and courteous staff. Best breakfast buffet and a first class restaurant for dining.
