Hotel Plaza Opera

Basic hotel, rooms are clean and reception staff very friendly. 2 things for us that would make it better - facilities in room to make a hot drink. There is a kettle downstairs behind reception, but we found this by accident. Second is that the bathroom is fitted with a shower, but no screen/curtain which made showering an interesting experience trying to stop water from going outside the bath!

Location is good, we could walk around to the main tourist attractions. Hotel is ok but needs a bit of renovation, aircon in one of our rooms was dropping temperature itself and had to be set to the desired temp quite often. In both rooms we stayed we had drought from the balcony. The street hotel is located is quite busy and noisy during the night (maybe we are not used to this level of noise). Overall we had a good stay and saw what we wanted to see in Paris.

The hotel is near to self laundry service and restaurants. It is 10 minutes walk to g Galleries Lafayette and you can catch the big bus there. It is very convenient to the metro stations of different lines by walking a few minutes. The receptionist is very friendly and you can ask almost anything about Paris and you will get an answer. The room is spacious. The water for shower was hot and it was really important to us because it was winter. The surrounding is quiet and safe. There is a waiting area where you can sit and enjoy free hot tea and coffee. The receptionist ordered a taxi for us upon over request. We were also allow store our luggage upon early arrival. I would definitely stay in the hotel again and recommend the hotel to anyone.

Great sleep in a cute area close to the subway. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only thing that was missing was a shower curtain but perhaps that's the French way?

The fact that this has so many positive reviews seriously makes me wonder who leaves the reviews on this sites. First, I had booked a room with a queen room and two double rooms and instead they had two different rooms, one with a queen bed, one with two double rooms. The rooms were tiny, the place doesn't look like the pictures, and the rug and furniture were not exactly spic and span. I wouldn't say the place is run down, but things look a bit faded. I know Paris elevators are not exactly spacious, but I could barely fit myself with a large suitcase.

Extremely friendly welcome with lots of information given at reception. Very convenient location with lots of lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. Also within walking distance of Sacre Coeur and Montmartre. Our room at the front had a bustling street scene although it was a little noisy at night despite the double glazing.

The hotel had wonderful staff. It’s small but very quaint and lovely. Very old fashion Paris!
