Air conditioning problems-hotel staff very helpful
The hotel is located in an amazing area in Venice, it is very clean and staff are extremely friendly. Unfortunately, my review is not 100% positive because our air conditioning system was broken and we had to wake up several times during the night to empty the water collected inside (from condensation). In this way, we had 3 very tiring nights and made our trip less than ideal. However, the staff was very helpful and they tried to fix it right away, but unfortunately those attempts did not really work. The manager was very empathetic with us and said it will reimburse part of our payment. That made us realize they really care for their costumers. So, unless you are unlucky and get a room with a frail air conditioning system, I see no reason to highly recommend Al Vagon if you are staying in Venice with your family.

Great location
Great location, nice owner and family. Room itself is dated, no amenities other than a mini tea kettle. Our room was on top of a bar which was noisy at night.

Great Location, Nice Workers, But Old
The room was very clean and roomy for four people and the bathroom was equip with bidet, toilet, shower, and hair dryer; however, the only two problems I would have to note is that the room with the furniture and decorations were very old and timey and also there is no elevator so you have to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs by yourself. Other than this, it was a very good location and the front desk people were helpful and could speak good English unlike other hotels in Italy.

Schöner Raum und super Lage, leider macht vor dem Fenster ein kleiner Laden sehr lang laute Musik. Das Zustellbett war mäßig bequem. Sehr nettes Personal.

OK rooms, nice location and no problem service
Nice location, and OK rooms with nice decoration. Staff was a bit noisy when cleaning in the mornings but it also contributed to an italian feeling :) We could leave the luggage without no problem and over all an OK friendly service :-)
