Clean but very outdated
The hotel is clean but very outdated. There are no king bedrooms. The bathrooms look at least 50 years old.

Hotel absolutely fine apart from the basin lacking a plug. Hotel staff really good. Excellent breakfast. However, there appeared to be an attached eateries accessed directly from the hotel called Cafe Rosa which we assumed was where an evening meal was taken. Only later did we find out it was a cash-only operation which meant one of us walking to a local bank to obtain the necessary cash. Staff took very little interest in us and the order and food took ages. One particular young lady was surly to the point of being rude. A rather unhappy experience throughout.

Great hotel, top service, amazing food!
Our stay was great from start to finish. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful in English. The room was large, comfortable and clean with all amenities you could want on a trip like this. We had a balcony and that was a highlight, leaving the door open at night to hear the wind rustling through the trees. The hotel has a restaurant attached and it is beyond fantastic. The food (dinner in our case) is exceptional by any standards, with fantastic service and a bill that's smaller than you'd expect for such quality. Bike rental is a bit on the high site (12.50 euro per day), so if you're coming in via train and public transport you might want to rent an OV Fiets at the station, cycle to the hotel (10 to 15 minute cycle) and return the Fiets when you leave Apeldoorn.
