8/10 Very good

Overall impression
The hotel was in a great location. The front desk staff were great and friendly very helpful. However my only concern was I booked the hotel as it advertised having a bathtub ad sometimes I like to have a relaxing bath and due to feet swelling but instead my room had a stand up shower. The bathroom was not fully clean as there were used towels in the bathroom hanging and I had to inform the front desk regarding this. I didn’t like that you have to walk through the Wetherspoons to get to your room and security at the door looking at you funny as the Wetherspoons is open to the public. On my last day the power went out for a while which was a bit difficult. But however for the price it was a great stay. Not many places to site see or explore by the hotel but it was in a good location

6/10 Good

Good hotel but noisy housekeepers
The hotel was generally clean and comfortable. We were very pleased there was no noise from the bar or the street. However, we were woken every morning at 8am by the housekeepers who congregated outside our rooms (no. 6 and 7). We complained after the first morning and they were quieter the second morning. However the noise was just as bad for our last two mornings. There also appeared to have been an accident in our room before we checked in as our bedside light was broken and table removed. On balance, I’d say it’s a good hotel but don’t stay in rooms 6, 7 or 8.
