We have stayed at Puerta de Toledo several times and have always found it more than satisfactory. It is very convenient to our needs in Madrid but is away from the centre and main attractions, although right by a Metro station. Breakfasts are adequate though hot food is usually lukewarm, but overall the hotel is good value for money. Handy for cafes and the Rastro street market.

Although rooms are on the smaller side, the location is perfect. Metro access right across the street. Buffet breakfast offered plenty of tastey options. Staff was super helpful and arranged an early taxi to the airport and packed breakfast since we departed before it was open.

Very well located, only 15 minutes walking to the Plaza Major, the Mercado de San Miguel and La Puerta de Sol. If you don't want to walk, there are taxis in front of the hotel 24 hours a day.
