Exceptional 10.0
great location - professional staff - large rooms
beautiful location right on the waterfront. Beautiful view, large room comfy bed etc. Overall excellent - two minor issues: (1) strangely there was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower and (2) there was an expresso maker, but no coffee maker. I expect that in Europe - not Boston. I missed my coffee. Otherwise superb upscale hotel, highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel
Very thin walls, could hear heels stomping above my room and the "party" in the room across from me. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located within walking distance of The North End restaurants.

Extremely helpful staff. Well thought out room designs. Very comfortable and clean hotel throughout. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The sheets were starchy and uncomfortable. I’d prefer an actual coffee machine and not a Nespresso machine.

We stayed in the presidential suite for 4 nights for a romantic getaway. The suite was a bit underwhelming as we had stayed at another properties presidential suite the 4 days prior to this one. The floor had bobby pins and 2 sewing needles when we walked in by the tv, cut my boyfriends foot open the first night we were there. The patio is surrounded by a VERY popular and frequented walkway, had people constantly walking by. The living room area has see thru shades and everyone would always look into the room, at night with the light on people walking could see everything in our room which was unpleasant. The decor overall was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable which was great! The bathroom was underwhelming and had a single person stand in shower and no tub which was odd for a presidential suite. The valet staff were very flustered constantly and the app to pickup our car only worked once for all 4 days. One of the days they also made us walk to the garage to our car ourselves even tho we’re paying $50 daily for in&out service on top of tips everytime. Overall I’m not sure we would stay again, but if privacy isn’t a concern and you’re not driving a vehicle maybe this is the hotel for you!

Hotel was terrific. The restaurant however was not so much. They were under staffed. Waited 15 minutes to be seated and get coffee while only 3 tables had people at them. Food was very good however.

Overall good, some shortcomings
The room itself was good - clean, big bathroom, comfortable bed. I was positioned directly over the front door so I unfortunately got woken up by people talking outside in the morning but I imagine that isn't an issue in other rooms. The biggest issue for me was the restaurant / food. The restaurant is only open for breakfast until 10 or 11 & closed until dinner starts at 5. I was on a business trip so I was looking forward to working from the hotel restaurant in the afternoon until my nighttime event. The limited hours were therefore super inconvenient as I had to drive somewhere locally just for lunch. Even if you want to work from the business center in the afternoon there is nowhere to get coffee because the restaurant is common area coffee with all that lovely business center / lobby room? Odd. Speaking of the food - I ordered room service for breakfast and it was literally terrible, and I'm not picky at all so for me to complain says a lot. The waiter was very nice, and the delivery was speedy but that's because the avocado toast was 1) ice cold, 2) on a piece of non-toasted bread, 3) topped with half of a semi-brown avocado just sitting there, not spread around like normal avocado toast and 4) as mentioned, an ice cold poached egg. So bad. The $8 latte tasted god awful and super cheap too. It's a shame because the hotel itself was super nice, on the water etc. but I look forward to good dining when I travel and this was far from good.
