Left roomless for First Anniversary
Booked our FIRST year anniversary stay with the hotel over a month in advance. With less than 2 weeks from our stay, they emailed me stating that a large group was in the hotel and they were cancelling our reservation but offered a room at their sister hotel in the area. 1- The other hotel held no significance to us. We live less than 20 minutes away but have stayed many times during our dating time at this hotel. 2- The other hotel did not have the same offering for the suite with the whirlpool bath. 3- it left us scrambling to find other accommodations for our first anniversary. We will never book here again or recommend to anyone.

I was disappointed in the lack of a warm breakfast offered by the hotel. Also, when did hotels stop accepting cash? I had drawn cash out, to ensure that no random charges would be drawn out and make my stay more difficult, but doing that proved to make my stay much more difficult, because this location doesn't accept cash! This caused me to have to run around, get a money order, and remotely deposit it into my account, which took multiple tries because the money order was printed poorly, all causing the check-in process to be much, much more stressful than it should've been.

General cleanliness and location to major interstates was chief positive. Room cleanliness was suspect; no indication on door that, due to Covid-19, my particular room was cleaned as per new standards. This differed from other Hilton Garden Inns I've recently stayed in. No towels provided when I checked in; it took over 2 hours to get them. I was given a full-of-holes story that THIS particular Hilton Garden Inn had policy that towels were ONLY given out when the guest requested them. There were two other guests waiting in line behind me with similar issues. Water pressure was dismal; no exhaust fan in bathroom. This Hilton Garden Inn certainly did not meet the high mark of what Garden Inns usually offer. Disappointed!
