We paid a lot of money to have an ocean front room, as love the view of ocean. We were stuck in the very last building on the ground floor and our view was of palm trees and the Sandals resort. Couldn't see anything else. The room was a very long walk to all the pools and restaurants. Food options were very limited because if you weren't in line at 6 PM, you could forget eating at any restaurant besides the buffet. Room was only cleaned once. mini bar was only replenished on last day. Never gave us clean towels in 4 days. Was supposed to have 2 double beds, they were more like twins and very uncomfortable. Upon checkout, I had left the keys in room, and they told me I would have to walk all the way back to the room to get my keys, or they would charge me. When I went to return my towel the night before at 6 PM, there was nobody there, so I couldn't get our towel key back. They charged me $20 per towel key. Never told us at check in that we had to return all keys. The only thing we were told at check in was not to lose our bracelet. They told me it was the rule of every hotel in the world to return keys. I mentioned that I have worked in the hotel industry for over 40 years and it was pretty standard to leave keys in room, to which the agent told me that some hotels have different standards. Maybe you should try telling people your standards when they check in.I have stayed at many Riu properties and have never had any of these issues. Very disappointed with the entire stay.

When Paradise Is Calling!
Hi, I had a Wonderful time visiting Jamaica Overall! On the fence if I'll revisit Riu Montego again, will try Riu Reggae or Palace Montego Bay. Alcohol: Options was very disappointing and they had cheap brands that would get you sick. I ordered frozen drinks. Staff Entertainment A±±± Throughout the day & night the staff did an Awesome Job! Resort Food was Okay, there's room for improvement. Asian restaurant was a Thumbs-down for me, the food didn't taste like Asian food, I wouldn't revisit. Main Food Restaurant: Brechelle gave me a Outstanding Welcome Greeting to the restaurant. I Greatly Appreciated It. Thankful for the Restaurant & Bar Staff that work around the clock to service the visitors. They shoukd be Rewarded and Acknowledged for Their Hardwork. That would put a Smile on Their Faces!

Baecation in montego bay
It was an amazing stay! Went with my boyfriend for our first baecation and it was amazing. Service was fantastic. Staff was amazing. I would say the food is 6/10 definitely were some highlights but the rest of the food was average. Drinks were amazing 10/10 i would go here again! Room was really nice too

Lovely stay
Most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was surprisingly good with plenty of options to meet my dietary needs. The only confusing part was setting up airport transfer which could only be done through them and by phone ahead of time.
