Glad we came!
Due to Tulemar Bungalows already being full for 3rd & 4th nights that we were staying in the Manuel Antonio area, we chose to move to this hotel. It was a good choice and an even bigger hit with my 11 & 9 year old daughters. Just walking around the hotel area, we saw monkey, iguanas, and a sloth numerous times. We struck out a few times in seeing many animals on the "monkey path", but it was still a beautiful & worthwhile walk. Playa Biesanz is accessible via a short walk (or golf cart ride) from the hotel, and is a great place to visit. It is in a provided cove, and there were not too many people. You can find vendors selling drinks/food and access to chairs/umbrellas. On certain days of the week you may find massages being offered by a mother and her adult son. Take the opportunity to have a massage in a very unique environment. All four of us did, and it was a great experience & memory! Hotel Parador had the best wi-fi of all the lodging we had in CR for about 12 days. The pool was great, though my girls were disappointed to not see a hot tub too. The breakfast buffet was very good with many choices.

Parador is AMAZING!!!
The Parador is THE place to say in Costa Rica. This is our second stay and it was just a good as the first time. The Staff is AMAZING. Very helpful, friendly and willing to help. From the resort main manager, food manager all the way down to every single person we talked with. So much wild life at the resort. After talking with people at other resorts it seemed we saw more wild life, monkeys, sloths etc. at the resort than they did anywhere along the way. This will be the only place we stay for our visits. Can no say enough good things about the resort.

Very Good8.0
Top notch resort but devoid of Costa Rican culture
Fantastic property, upscale rooms, helpful staff. The only problem to me was that it's so upscale, you miss out on local flavor, the true Costa Rica. If you never left the grounds, you'd only know you were in some generic tropical, seaside resort. For instance, the restaurant is REALLY expensive and the food does not match the prices, and it is not Costa Rican at all. I realize they are targeting the international, American/English clientele and the menu reflects that. But it would be nice to have some more colorful food options. For a good food option, go into Quepos and eat at Tiquicia. Really good Costa Rican food for about $7 a plate. Same general comment on the ambient music. Lots of overly sweet, muzak renditions of popular melodies. Almost zero latin-american, folkloric flavor. Wouldn't it be classy to have a Costa Rican acoustic trio or duo in the bar area?

Sloth and ocean views heaven!
Wonderful views. Incredible wildlife on property. Excellent food. Walk to beautiful beach. Fabulous sunsets. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend. Could do with a bit of a facelift in rooms etc. but views and access to sloths, monkeys, birds and beach make up for it. Separate adult pool a big benefit.
