Staff are really friendly, activities were great and resaonably priced for what you got. Caravan had a few things that need sorting, eg scrates over table, mould arond the bath, handles broken and shower head leaking but other than those small things caravan was clean and was a pleaseant stay. Would definitely go back.

This was our third stay at Sandy Balls. The housekeeping staff work tirelessly and the units are always spotless. We have a welcome gift for our dog (which is much appreciated!) and the facilities are great on site (the restaurants and pool). Some of the other residents were not so great, but that is to be expected on any UK staycation type place - unless you have the entire place to yourself, there are always people that don't get along. The Sandyballs team (Especially the out of hours wardens) are amazing and so polite, kind and helpful. We love staying here, despite the freezing cold february weather!

Not our first stay at this park and as is the norm in our experience staff were polite and helpful, the accomadation was clean and funtional. We ate at the tavern and the food was of good quality and plentiful, also affordable and in line with other local eateries. We love the convenience of this park and will stay again in the coming future. Highly recommend to anyone who has not yet found this little gem!

The location is superb and convenient to get to places with ease. We were disappointed with reception staff upon arrival. No real welcome, no clear message of how to find our caravan (too busy having personal conversations). No information on how to use items, no clear message that WiFi wasn’t available although we had expected WiFi (thought we had booked a place with WiFi) explained we has a child with ASD hoping we would have been offered an upgrade but no…so don’t be blinkered that you have paid for luxury but definitely nothing luxury about their caravan. On the surface the caravan did look clean until we were removing sofa cushions looking for the bed - crisps, money, dust, fluff not pleasant. In storage outside old boots that’s obviously been left behind. No bedding for sofa bed, waited 4 hours then contacted out of hours, must say they were VERY good. Facilities on site were good and our 14 year old enjoyed the amusements. Again staff there were good.

The lodge itself was great. It was spotless throughout and very well presented. The park was excellent too, with fantastic facilities. The only problem I had was with the signage. The area name signposts, were too few and spaced too far apart, so it was more difficult to find my lodge. Also they were not lit so finding my way back to my cabin by foot after dark in the rain, was so problematic that I had to call guest services. The assistant I phoned was very helpful though and showed up in minutes even though reception was closed. He also escorted me to my lodge, finding it straight away.

We had an amzing time 4 nights in the heartwood. Our daughter (3) absolutely loved it and the entertainment team made her feel really special. The accommodation was really clean and smelt amazing when we arrived. We booked multiple activities but our favourite was the alpaca walk. While we were staying they had decorated the park halloween themed. The only downside was the pool was being repaired and not open the whole time we were there. We will be booking again for next year.

This is a lovely place for a family break, with plenty to do if you want to stay in the resort. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a Zen with a hot tub and it was probably a bit tight for 7 of us, especially at night, but very nice. The only negative feedback is the lack of wifi which I know many people mention. All in all, I would recommend a stay.
