Gorgeous suite in a nice and secure luxury casa.
It's a great condo suite environnement. The unit is well decorated. Hope the nearby construction project complete sooner and make entrance a much easier check in. The swimming pool is a plus.

Looks nice, but not much else good to say
The positives are that this hotel has put some effort into the aesthetics of the property and it looks quite nice. That said, the negatives are many. The site that I booked through listed many amenities that were just not there. For example, it claimed that there is a coffee shop, two restaurants, and a spa. The hotel does not have these things. The booking listing also claimed that it had amenities like an ironing board in the room that weren't present. Apart from the listing not matching the property, there were various other negatives. As others have noted in their reviews, the shower water stinks like chlorine, pressure is poor, and the water does not get particularly hot. The rooms are also missing basic amenities that you would expect like coffee to put in the coffee maker and lotion among the toiletries. As others have noted, the hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by dusty, pothole-filled roads. Perhaps most importantly, there are severe issues with noise. The air conditioner loudly rattled and I could hear noises from the bar until late at night and from the pool starting very early in the morning. This is despite the fact that the listing claims that rooms are soundproof.

Pros: Definitely pretty hotel, calm and peaceful environment, plenty of parking spots inside the hotel, nice pool, service at the pool, cute interior, big bathroom, Cons: The neighborhood is really dirty and the road toward the hotel from the main street is horrible (around 5-10 min drive), the room was very dusty and that was the worst thing during our stay. When you book the hotel they mention that you wold get $50 credit that could be used in the hotel, but when check in, they said that it's not an option anymore!!! This was actually one of the reasons that we chose this hotel over two other options that we were thinking of, but we ended up not receiving it.

Think twice before booking
A nice, new property that has just been built [probably on cheap land] before the infrastructure has caught up. The building is unfinished, which isn’t necessarily a problem as the main areas are complete, but the surrounding areas make it largely inaccessible, unless you have a car or sadly want to take a taxi to cover a 0.3 mile walk to the Main Street. The unmade road is so bad that any car that picked us up, would carefully drive down it and still manage to bump and scratch its underside. We hired bikes to get about, all good in the day, but when travelling south from the centre at night, we got chased by some dogs guarding a property (until the owner called them off us) and a kid chucked a firework at my bike - this was about 15 meters from the hotel entrance. Similar happened on the road to the east of the property the next night when a dog chased us as it was pitch black and we had to walk with a torch to avoid the mud & deep puddles in the road. I had to throw my muddy shoes away after this! It made the start of our holiday pretty stressful, and a real shame having to spend 15-20 usd to get a taxi once it became dark. We would have opted to stay at the property for dinner/drinks, but everything shuts at 6pm so you have to go out, which seems strange as there are staff around all the time. A simple suggestion would be for the hotel to offer a shuttle service with a 4x4, just so you can get out and back in the dark without hassle in the last half mile.

The Opehlia hotel was a great stay. We would dedinitelt return. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The only cons to this property is that there are no face cloths provided and no iron ironing board so beware and prepare to brind your own. Other than that, our stay was excellent and we look forward to returning soon!

This place was great! The staff was so friendly/helpful. My room was all set up when I got there. And the pool was amazing! It was way better than the pictures online. They should retake those. They have a bar at the pool, but the restaurant is quite finished. It is about a 15 minute walk from the main street.
