      Great one night stay

      A good sized room with a super king bed. Loved the comfy armchair and foot stool. Good having kitchenette facilities for those who don't want to eat out at a restaurant. The hallway on the 7th floor needs the carpet either stretched or replaced. Friendly staff. Great breakfast including the best hash browns. Great location. Would stay again.

      Couple's night away - brilliant!

      We had a lovely night there. The bed was amazingly comfy, the room was really quiet and the service was bang on. Can't fault our stay. We also dined in the restaurant, the Portlander, which was so good, perfect steaks and the dessert was yummy!

      Good location

      We stayed at Rydges before getting the Interislander. It is only a short drive to the ferry terminal. Parking at the hotel is limited and you may need to take your car to a nearby parking building. The cleanliness was a good standard but the hotel itself is looking a bit tired now. Stains on the carpet, etc. I was lucky enough to stay when the hotel was quite new , so remember it in its full glory. Unfortunately the buffet breakfasts are not available (due to Covid) and the breakfast menu was a little disappointing. Neither of us enjoyed the breakfast - very greasy, bacon was mostly fat and I only got a cup with a tea bag in it - not a teapot and extra water. Having said that, we would stay again if it was for just one night before getting the ferry or going to a concert or a game. Good location for waterfront restaurants and walking distance to stadium.

      Half/half

      Our flight arrived early, so we stopped into the hotel and they gladly took our luggage for us and put it in the room when it was ready, leaving us free to wander the cafes and shops without any bags. That was awesome! The room was nice enough. Very comfy bed and pillows! The fittings and entertainment options were a bit dated. Unfortunately the toilet tank ran all the time, constantly making a whining sound, and the shower wasn’t very nice to use or clean. The biggest let down was the pool. This was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel and it was horrible. The lap pool (which they claim to keep at 28 degrees) was so cold we couldn’t even get in. The spa pool was slightly warmer, but the water was a horrible yellow color and it was full of little children spitting and blowing their noses into it. The floor all around the pool was full of mildew and mold as well. It was just very disappointing for a premium brand hotel to see no cleanliness or posted rules discouraging having toddlers in hot tubs. Also the attached restaurant wasn’t a great experience. The one time we tried to go there, we sat at a table directly in front of the bar, and were never greeted or served after twenty minutes we left and went somewhere down the road. Very comfortable and happy overall but some things need to be tightened up to a better standard.

      Wheelchairs welcome :)

      Impressed by the accessibility - check out the pics of the bathroom and kitchenette. Low kitchenette with room for a wheelchair to slide in underneath the kitchen bench and the bathroom is ready to roll into with a fold-down seat and grab bars. Huge TV, too!

      Great view, great food, great team

      Stunning view from the 15th floor and equally excellent room service! Was also impressed by the support the Duty Manager gave two obviously new staff, checking their work kindly and creating a positive environment.
