4/10 Fair

Just eh
I love the Beatles and was super excited to stay in this hotel, however it left quite a bit to be desired.
The rooms have a single picture...thats where the retro, Beatles themed decorations end. Otherwise its gaudy gold curtains, no outlets near any mirrors so you can get ready and a very tiny bathroom.
The staff was incredibly rude on check in. I needed a fridge in the room for medication, which I called about to arrange in advance and was told it would not be a problem. There was no fridge on arrival. When we asked for one the staff was very put out and said one was not available and that was the end. They did not offer to bring up an ice bucket and ice or any other alternative until we got a fridge. Its hard enough traveling with a chronic medical condition and then to be treated so poorly by hotel staff is frustrating. I did not choose this, so please don't treat me like i'm making your life harder on a whim. We did get a mini fridge later that day, but my partner had to be a bit forceful to make it happen.
Its super loud. The hotel is right next to the clubs on Matthew St, which is nice for the location, but 2nd rate cover bands are playing until 2am or later, followed by loud crowds of drunk people yelling.
Overall, I would recommend another hotel. Hit up the bar in this one if you want to see the decorations. The gift shop also has a big selection.
