Hotel was lovely in every respect. Room was big, clean and comfortable. We were not in the main part of the hotel, but in one of the chalets at the edge of the garden, which was actually really lovely. The staff we all helpful and really nice and good houmoured. Wifi was great, good signal all over the hotel, even in the garden. Bar was great, and breakfast was fantastic. 3 to 4 min walk to market square. Next trip to Bruges, we will be staying here.
Excellent location and would definitely stay here again. The only negative was the location of the shower in our room. It was positioned directly in front of the toilet with very little space to move but seeing as there was also a bath in the room this could not be helped. Apart from this I felt like I was staying in a real palace! Highly recommend if you can afford it.
the toilet was not cleaned properly.
Good location. Very friendly staff. Room not as good as expected but adequate. Garden lovely.
Hair dryer didn’t work. Breakfast was not 5star quality. The rest was fine. Great service though.
Exceptional! There was absolutely nothing negative about our stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. The location is great for making the most of your time here. If driving to Brugge by car, call and ask ahead for the postcode to make it to the car park. I did several laps of the one way system before giving them a ring after using the hotel’s address per google. We were allowed to check in slightly early, as our room was available. Room service was prompt, professional and very helpful. Breakfast was out of this world. My only comments would be the room we stayed in showed signs of previous visitors who had marked the walls by the doorway with their luggage, and European guests didn’t quite grasp the concept of queueing at the front desk for check out on the Sunday morning.
A quiet side-street location, but within a very short (couple of minute) walk from the main square. Lovely, luxurious hotel - all very clean and comfortable throughout. Drinks in bar were expensive, but perhaps to be expected. Breakfast was a hefty 28 euros per person (and cut off at 10.30am) which is a bit steep in cost and would have appreciated a later time at weekends. Only minor thing to mention was that check out at 11am is a very busy time and the process took about 25 minutes. There appeared to be an orderly queue, but I think - perhaps - some of our continental friends haven't actually grasped the concept of queuing as it was a bit of a free for all scrum to make it to the desk each time a receptionist became available. I found this mildly amusing, though others may be frustrated by this...
Well placed for city visits and restaurants and the station
