    Safety concern

    There was a long term resident that invaded my personal space a couple of times. He appeared to be impaired and forced us to have to change our hotel for the experience with this man not leaving me alone. I was concerned for the safety of my son and myself. The staff was amazing and supportive of request to cancel my remainder of the reservation but also helped me relocate to another room. The general manager follow up with me the following morning and was also extremely supportive and appreciate his follow up to the situation.

    I was traveling with a pet to drop for my son. I live in Fort Worth,Tx and he lives in Mesa. We decided to meet in Albuquerque NM. I booked a room through Hotels.com. I then called the Rio Rancho extended stay hotel to make sure they are pet friendly. The young woman said yes they are. I then ask if there was a charge and she said no. I drove 10 hours the NM and went to check in. I told the young man I had a small pet and then he said that there would be a $25 charge. I immediately called my son because he was paying for the room. As soon as I got off the phone the young man said oh there is also a$100 cleaning fee. At this point I am livid. I was very upset and I did yell at him but it was because I was not given the correct info when I called on Friday to ensure that everything was alright with bringing the pet. I have never traveled with a pet and was truly unaware of extra charges. That is the reason I called the hotel. I will probably never stay at an Extended America Hotel again. The person I talked to should have made me aware of the extra charges when aI called that seems to be very unfair practice from your hotel.

    The beds were comfy, the kitchenette and bathroom were clean, but it is really time to consider replacing the carpet. Very stained and old looking.

    worst cleaning and customer service

    1. From the lobby onwards the smell is like an old garage, the whole hotel smells very ugly 2. Behind the people in the lobby you can see a terrible mess, you can even see the carts full of dirty towels behind them, with the smell of a wet towel in the lobby. 3. Wherever you see, the hotel is full of dust, the furniture, the floor… everything !! It seems they never did toilet. 4. The elevator has the hotel advertising in bad shape, marker scratched and folded. 5. When we entered the room, it had a worse smell than the hallways. 6. The bottom of the bedding was broken and not a small gap, it was quite a visible and unpleasant gap. 7. The curtains were stained with a fairly large mark 8. When we opened the fridge it was dirty 9. The furniture was covered in dust, as if the room had never been inhabited. 10. When we opened the kitchen furniture we realized that the garbage can was not unoccupied and had garbage inside 11. At the time of checking out the person who received us showed zero kindness and service 12. All of this shows that it is the WORST Extended Stay America hotel I have ever stayed in.

    Adequate for price paid. Great View!

    The location to watch balloons launched was perfect. Easy access to all sorts of places to eat. The room was adequate for 1 person..but cramped for 2. Bathroom was small. The cleaning solution used to clean was soooo strong, like evergreen. In 3 days it never dissipated. The towels were cleaned but extremely used and worn.

    Not great.

    The hotel is clearly understaffed, so I feel for the staff that is there, but the hotel is suffering. Our room was not clean when we checked in, the trash had not been removed in the bathroom or the kitchen, and the carpets were literally sticky. The fridge did bot work. You’ll beed to request everything - coffee maker, blankets, cookware, etc. There wasn’t an actual comforter or duvet on the bed - just a sheet a duvet cover and the bed was incredibly hard. The fridge also did not work. The stairs had spilled coke or something down them for our entire stay, even after we reported it. This is a good location for the balloon festival, but the stay was not exactly pleasant.

    Probably wont stay here again

    We are not the "needy" type when it comes to staying at hotels so basic amenities are usually fine, however this one fell a little short of our expectations, even with a good price point. Now we know why it was a lower nightly rate. The cleanliness was fine (not bad, not great but just good enough). There were no services available what so ever. No room cleaning until you check out. Bed was fine but pillows were hard. NO coffee, tea, or even water.....not to mention no ice machines or vending machines!! No breakfast at all either. The website clearly shows those items are available but that is not the case. They did give use a coffee maker for our room with pre-packaged coffee (as normal) but you have to request it at the front desk which felt kinda weird and they have limited sweeteners and creamers.....the front desk guy literally gave me a few packets of each. Staff wasn't the most cheerful we've seen but they weren't rude, so whatever. I asked them why none of this stuff is available as advertised and was told it should be coming back soon but management cut all that stuff out due to COVID. I wasn't going to argue but lack of cleaning services and a few other things we noticed had us feeling like they were full of crap.

    Bad don’t stay find another ESA

    Booked extended stay because I’ve stayed before short and long term and they have amenities most don’t…..with that in mind I did not have a pleasant stay at this one. From check in I was not kindly greeted just name hers your room on the third floor elevators are there. No here is the most convenient way to get in your room is on this side. Nothing. So I figure ok I’m a big girl I’ll find it no big deal. Mind you I have a service dog and a 10mo old baby. None of the normal amenities were in the room that’s fine I’m staying one night. At 4 am needed something (not provided in the room) tried calling the front phones don’t go through. Ask front desk if I could get said item delivered to room, person stated I can’t. Well it’s your job and I have a baby I can’t leave. Front desk: well I can bring it to the 3rd floor and you’d have to get it. Okay so you’re just gonna ride the elevator up drop it and have me again leave my baby or wake her to get find this item. Most hotels will put out a sign hey be back in 10min. After a little bantering she finally agrees to bring it to the door. When I booked the hotel it promised breakfast so we go down stairs and they tell us oh well we don’t do that no more here is a tiny coffee maker to take to your room( which should have already been in the room!) o get its COVID but I booked this room because of said amenities and didn’t get any. So no $105 is not worth the stay I had. I asked to speak to a manager haven’t been contacted.
