The room was big however the bathroom small. Unfortunately, they placed us in room 1200, which is behind the elevator. The noise throughout the night from the elevator took time to get use too. Location to the beach was fantastic and compare to other hotels in the area, the cost is very fair. Everyone was very friendly, especially Dennis from the Bell-hop. Wasn't happy with the Concierge, I believe her name was Elisa. I asked her for help to find Pearl Harbor and attended the Arizona. She told me I needed to book a tour at an expensive of $50 per person. I told her 25 years ago, the last time I attended the Arizona, it was free to the public. She told me things have changed and it books up fast so I need to make a decision. I told her I have my own car, could I save money going there myself. She replied that parking is very difficult and I need to take a shuttle from the Hotel to insure I get in. I went with my instincts and drove there with my girlfriend. Good things, parking was free and available, the experience is still free, the only change is that you can not bring in bags, purses and backpacks. Sad to see someone needed to lie in order to try to make a commission.

Close to beach and shopping
It was fine staff friendly. Room that I reserved was not available ended up in a very tiny room with a queen bed instead of a king with an ocean view. No compensation was offered.

Good service, not so good room
Room was located next to the elevators so we got to hear them all night long, girlfriend didn’t sleep much because of this. Room was nothing special but was clean with a good bed.

Simple Stay in Waikiki
My husband and I enjoyed the first stop on our Hawaii adventure. Know that Waikiki is quite busy, and you need to walk about 2 blocks to get to the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Effort has been taken to update the carpet and bedding. I particularly enjoyed the small balcony to be able to sit and relax in the fresh air. A nice convenient location at a reasonable price.
