Daytona trip
We were very pleased with our 5 night stay. Our room was very clean and spacious. You can’t beat an oceanfront balcony and the sound of the waves crashing. The somewhat abbreviated breakfast had enough options no one should have been disappointed. The breakfast attendant was so good. She was always upbeat and went the extra mile to make people happy. We will definitely be back.

The room was very nice, no problem there, and the check in was great. The pool was not very clean at all, cloudy and lots of sand at the bottom, we were at the hard rock Hotel the week before and it was crystal clear with lots of people in it so there's no excuse for not keeping it clean. The Tiki hut was cute and the people were very friendly but the food was absolutely horrible, everything had the same taste no matter what you got, the chicken sandwich w/bacon was not a fillet like most sandwiches, it was tiny pieces of chicken bits and bacon bits on a bun that was terrible let alone paying $10 for a sandwich with potato chips!! The free breakfast was absolutely horrible, cheap Quality food, the waffles were OK, not cooked enough because you can't cook them yourself, you have to have someone do it for you because of the coronavirus. I understand that there are health issues with the food and they had a limited amount but their food quality was absolutely horrible! When I was leaving to check out the lady at the desk was not friendly at all, didn't ask me how my stay was or even say have a good day and no thank you!! Not very courteous at all for that much money at a hotel, you would think since they lost money from the coronavirus they would be a little more appreciative of people staying there and at least be friendly! That was my last day and a Hampton Inn!! ☹️

Hotel was fantastic. Beds were kinda bad. The lady cooking breakfast was hatful if you came around 10:50, they stop at 11. Nice hotel not a lot of people so it’s never too crowded at any given point.

Understaffed & breakfast was SAD
They claim a free buffet breakfast but all you get is a cold English muffin or bagel & coffee with no option of toasting it. We practically had to beg to get towels for the pool or for our room & possibly the saddest thing was no room service. We had to take out our own trash for our entire week stay. They never had anyone come clean the room. Didn’t even ask. There was one friendly lady at the front desk the last day of our trip; the rest of the time the ladies that were working were not so friendly or helpful. This was so surprising b/c my experience with Hilton (& many other hotel chains) has always been the opposite. Usually staff super helpful, they try to clean your room even when you don’t really need it, etc. But this was just sad. I think it is prob poorly managed & likely cut back staff due to the virus, but it didn’t work for us. They def should NOT still be advertising a buffet breakfast. Also—tiki bar is closed. AND out TV did not work the whole time.

Arrived late at night first thing following morning had water dumped on me from balcony above and also the dirt off the balcony after the water all over my face and body I had just showered and had to re-shower. Called the front desk it was like no big deal. Also two workers came into my room to remove a chair and “they knocked over my luggage” There was no way possible where my luggage was I believe they went through my luggage which is very unacceptable I also have other issues and do not feel as though any of it was addressed properly and I am requesting a refund of some sort please contact me Denise Palmer 518-791-3453

Best value in Daytona beach
the location is close enough to main attractions by walking and has a great value for the price because it feels like a luxury hotel. Other hotels we looked and stayed had a great review and decent price while further away, but felt quite old and tired, facilities were in decay and was more like a necessary place to sleep. Hampton was enjoyable with a great pool and hottub, nice breakfast area and amazing ocean view. The ocean front view rooms are worth the price, especially for a great sunrise view. If we ever go to Daytona again, we will stay at Hampton
