The room was clean and quiet, however the overall feeling is of a place that needs serious renovation work: chipped furniture, greyish curtains, overused window blinds, etc. Good place but nothing to write home about.

Hotel is in a very good location next to the beach and the centre, modern and very clean. Staff was super nice and helpful (unlike unfortunately many other places in Bulgaria) Will definitely go back and recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful. This is supposed to be one of the nicest hotels in the area and I expected more. Entering my room I was struck by how filthy the carpet was. There were stains from the door to the window. The room was otherwise clean but the carpet gave me a bad impression.

The Hotel mOdus is a boutique property in the center of Varna. It is modern, clean, and has a very friendly staff. Black Sea access to the promenade and public beach is directly across the street, and Varna’s pedestrianized shopping street is one block north of the property. At the moment access to the hotel by road is tricky due to road repairs/closures in the neighborhood so get directions from the hotel before you set out—GPS directions are currently unreliable. This hotel is not a beach resort, but for an urban stay with a little beach tossed in it is perfect. Highly recommended.
