Generally the property was in good condition and great to stay in. It would be great to have a free shuttle to the main shopping area. If you have any health issues (knees/hips?) ask for a ground floor room as you may have to walk up two flights of stairs. We had a 2nd floor room but the staff were happy to change us to a ground floor room. Maybe there is a free shuttle that was not operating due to Covid 19

We found the locals were very helpful and friendly always happy to guide and give information about the island, we found the shops were exclusive and. Very different from Brisbane local shops, there was a excellent choice of food and menu’s to choose from, overall a very enjoyable place to stay.

It was very clean the beds were comfortable,under staffed because of covid.couldnt get a descent meal at night as restaurant was not opened.Breakfast was wonderful.No lifts if you are staying on higher level

The location and atmosphere was great for our stay. The room was good but our refrigerator wasn't working when we first arrived but was quickly replaced. Friendly staff and relaxed setting.

What a really lovely place to stay! It likens to a South Pacific island resort but without having to leave Australia. The gardens look amazing, the staff were so polite, friendly and helpful and the whole resort was very clean and well kept . The oaks is in a great location away from the town hustle bustle but it’s only a short drive in via car or shuttle.
