Better than expected hotel activities on the night we stayed. Great meals, good drinks. Room appointed nicely but bathroom had insufficient ventilation, and although sheets and towels appeared freshly laundered the rugs, floors and other surfaces appeared dusty, dingy, especially in less trafficked areas of room, rugs needed cleaning..

Nightclub scene
It's a nice hotel. The valet parking folks are a bit grouchy, but front desk, concierge, and restaurant were all great service, and to be fair to valet they were very busy so that might not have been representative. The rooms are very nice. There is no coffee in the rooms, which was a bit annoying since the concept of this hotel is like a really high end W--with lots of party scene music and a very young crowd. At 6 am without caffeine that was a bit much. We were concerned checking in that the rooms would be loud, given the lobby is basically a night club, but the room was perfectly quiet. If you're cooler than we are, you'd probably like this place a lot. We just found it all a bit over the top, and our sense was that we were paying a premium for the party scene, which we were not at all interested in. So overall, lovely rooms, but overpriced even for the area. The hotel restaurant was massively overpriced. Perfectly reasonable food but really expensive.

Poor 2.0
Really disappointed
Wow?! This place has a ratings average of “superb”? Seriously? Do these customers not travel much nor know the excellence experienced and expected from other Marriott properties? We travel extensively with our kids, and more than often, several times a month. I had to ask myself, “Is this the Boston Way”? The reception, wait staff and concierges were actually lovely, but considering that we had multiple in and outs from the hotel, the valet, doormen and bell hops made this an atrocious time. They never open a car door, were rarely at the desk, and when we asked about helping us with a taxi, literally said, “Don’t you have Uber?” Horrific intro and first impressions. Then the rooms! Ok, old jailhouse, cool building. But there wasn’t a single place to hang clothes? Not even an attempt at a closet? And why wasn’t it disclosed that you checked us into a smoking allowed room? The rug was a complete stench! And the plumbing! My bath water was brown!!! The shower drain wasn’t a drain, but a disgusting stand in dirty water. The faucet barely cranked and there was and wasn’t cold and hot water. You can’t even describe the chaos in the non-function of all the bathroom facilities. When we had to grab a bite from the Late Menu at the bar, our bill arrived and the charges on the bill were completely different that those on the menu, making the meal 1/3 more! I actually don’t think that one is a coincidence. Already tired, serve more alcohol, defraud! We weren’t drinking, and there’s more.

Great for a club night. Not for R&R.
Great location and overall aesthetic appeal of hotel. Being that I was there from fri-sun, it felt more like a club. Check in process was not smooth. My name was spelled wrong probably because I was yelling over the music at check in. My guest could not locate me at 5 am and had to wake me up. Biggest complaint was the uncomfortable beds. My back hurt after one night. They did have great DJ’s and cocktails. I would come again for a night out but not to stay. The room was nice and the service was good. Nothing really to rave about. There were spilled drinks and drunks all over the place. People arguing outside. At over $500 per night, I did not feel like it was worth it.
