Great location and attentive staff
We really enjoyed our stay at SO Paris.
Excellent central location, easy access to Metro and walkable to major landmarks including Bastille and Pantheon!
The hotel is brand new / renovated recently (2022) The room was spacious and had a lovely view towards the Bastille and surrounding historic buildings. Only nit is that the toilet is tiny and there's no towel rod in there. However the bathroom is nice and luxurious.
Staff was caring and attentive. Our concierge helped get us reservations at restaurants nearby and also gave great recommendations for where to go / restaurants that were vegetarian friendly.
We especially loved the boulangerie downstairs (They're not associated with the hotel, but their croissants were the best!)
I think the hotel can do a few things better to earn a 5* review though:
Breakfast options: While the view from the upstrairs restaurant is amazing, the breakfast options were not as great as we expected. The pastries and croissants in the buffet did not meet the bar we were expecting from a well known French brand like SO Paris. Nothing remarkable about the omelet and crepes as well. The corner boulangerie had some excellent pastries that we ended up going for everyday instead.
