2/10 Poor

What an unfortunate stay. We chose location over comfort and underestimated how bad it would be. This hotel had none of the amenities listed by hotels.com, no housekeeping, no 24/7 front desk staff and we barely saw staff at all. The bathroom was not private as promised and the communal shower door did not lock. The floors were dirty. When I finally saw an employee and asked about the wifi, he took my phone out of my hand and logged me into the wifi of a different hotel down the street. The room was locked in at 80 degrees so we had to choose between hot, stuffy room or open windows out onto the loud street. At one point the owner got into a loud argument with someone in the lobby and there was quite a bit of yelling. I was so uncomfortable here I wanted to leave and stay somewhere else, but unfortunately we were in town over a holiday weekend and it was too difficult and spendy to go somewhere new. I would not feel safe staying here alone. I have no idea why they are endorsed by Hotels, but all I can say is please do your research ahead of time, and avoid this place.

Stay elsewhere
There was no one at reception, despite the hotel saying they have 24/7 service. We had to wait awhile before anyone even noticed we were there. They then informed us that we reserved a communal toilet room, despite it not being an option during the reservation process. Our reservation confirmation did not indicate anything about a communal toilet/shower. Most people would assume that a "hotel" with a high nightly rate gives you a private bathroom; they should advertise as a hostel at most if they are charging for communal amenities. For a little extra money, save the hassle and reserve a slightly costlier hotel. The room itself smelt moldy and was somewhat unclean. The mattress was old and uncomfortable to the point we could feel the metal bed bar under our backs. There was initially no hot water and we had to ask the front desk to turn it on. The hallway lights do not work. The lock on the communal toilet did not work. The doors are sticky so you need to push them open forcefully. I would feel unsafe staying here alone knowing that anyone could walk in from the street at any point and make their way into the dark halls. The most helpful person during our stay was a woman who claimed she didn't even work there, it seemed like a family run establishment and she was just a relative. She moved us to another room for our second night, since another guest cancelled. This room was a little better. In general, does not seem very legit nor comfortable, and I will not be back.

THE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER
I went to this hellhole with my boyfriend for our anniversary, this is what i fund -The room was filthy and smelled as dump -We fund a Mars snack wrap under the bed, together with a inch of dust -The room was absolutely not the the one we chose and saw pictures of -On the reservation it didn t say that the shower was going to be shared, -On the reservation it said the hotel had a bathtub (it did not exist) -The little bathroom we had in our room had not been cleaned -The receptionist was rude and started shouting at us in french when we complained about the room conditions -On the sunday morning we were NAKED in the room and at 1.30 pm the housekeeper walked into the room without knocking and asking us to leave, i had to cover myself with a towel and show her the reservation, that my checkout was on the monday, as she didn t want to leave We had the WORST TIME and our anniversary holiday got completely ruined. We didn t have any support from hotel.com as at the moment, when i first contacted you, the operator said that she could not deal with the hotel as there was no one speaking french on your side, so i got left on my own Best solution? DO NOT BOOK THIS HORRIBLE PLACE

Avoid
It was filthy, the bed was rock hard, the stairways were a nightmare to navigate with luggage, check in was just a guy showing us a clipboard of everyone’s names that were staying there and asking us which one we were

This place was dirty, the room smelled like cigarettes even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. This isnt worth it. Find another place further away or pay a little more but do not stay here

I wish I read all of the reviews first. This is literally the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. Cockroaches in the bathroom, dirty, super loud, horrible sewer smell. To top it all off I now have bed bug bites all over my body thanks to this run down motel. Do not stay here. It’s not worth it just because the area is amazing. Stay away.

Perfect for the price and location
This is a great spot for the price in the heart of Paris. While this place may not be for everyone (sink in the room but shared bathroom down the hall), it was perfect for me as a solo traveler looking to experience Paris on a budget. The owner was also very helpful in setting up my room so that I could check-in a few hours early. I would not hesitate to stay at this place again.
