Great location and decent rooms
We stayed here just for 1 night after landing in Kona. I was surprised with how nice the pool/hot tub area was, and that there was a path through the grounds with the back gate going right to the ocean and primary street to walk along for restaurants. The location was the best part of this place. The room was okay - nothing fancy, but had plenty of space and a comfy bed. TV, WiFi, & air all worked well.

It was a super cute condo with wonderful lady that worked the front desk. She made you feel so welcome. The location was amazing and the mini kitchen was awesome. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. I didn’t like that there were small ants but I guess that’s kind of to be expected for Hawaii local. The mini fridge we had a lot of fruit in which was rad but it was so small that the sweetness of the fruit would get absorbed by my breast milk and I had to throw a whole bottle away. Otherwise I would totally stay here again. Also we didn’t know until we had been there for most of our stay but the couch pulls out.

Good enough
Excellent location, dated but generally kept up. Room was quite small with micro kitchenette. Had to street park which is not ideal. Need better front desk staff.

This place is very well located my room was near the alii dr. and just few minutes walking from restaurants, bars and shops. I really enjoyed my sleeping there with the waves sound!

Location awesome. Lots of stairs. Parking an issue. WiFi not fast enough to allow streaming. Tv unable to get any channels. Luckily it wasn’t a big issue for us

We very nearly slept in our car for all the trouble we had getting into this place! We knew we would be arriving late as our flight landed around 11:00PM, so I called the number given in the email from Expedia and explained when we'd be there and inquired about the late check in procedure. The person on the phone said there would be nobody at the desk but there would be a phone and a number to call and then we'd be let in. We arrived in Kona at midnight, and had trouble finding the hotel because "Kona Islander Vacation Club" doesn't exist. We found a building called "Kona Islander Inn". We found a red phone that said "Hawaii Resort Management Hotline" so I picked it up and it played a message with nothing about late check-ins. It mentioned I could press a button for after hours emergencies, but that went straight to voicemail. We also found a black phone at the front desk which caused a phone to ring unanswered in a room behind the front desk. Eventually I called expedia and they gave me a different number. The person at that number gave me a code for the door to our suite. We didn't even know our suite number. We got it, and then went up and down about 30 sets of stairs looking for our room because the buildings were unmarked. Why couldn't they have just given us the code when I first called?! Once we finally got in there, the room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great ocean view. There was also a note with a 24 hour assistance in case we need anything :/

Poor 2.0
Terrible experience toilet seat broken,no toilet paper, went to office they said we had to supply ourselves, no Kleenex, internet didn’t work told us they could come next day we told them we were only staying one night. Another couple were trying to check in at midnight cause there flight was delayed and there was no one in office to help them out. No parking available first come first serve. Lock on patio door was broke. Never again will we stay there

Worn property in a good location with a small, furnished kitchenette. Be aware there is no elevator and we were on the third floor.
