Convenient location with subway at the doorstep with good connection to main places in Tokyo, quiet area. Can buy transport tickets at the hotel. Very good breakfast with large choice continental and japanese meals. Room a bit small but this is the case of most hotels in Japan, free water bottles every morning in the room, good amenities. Friendly staff. Available service of transferred luggages to other places in Japan. Will stay in this hotel again next time in Tokyo.

Great stay, would return!
Our stay here was fantastic, I would highly recommend it! The building itself is clean and always staffed with friendly employees. Everyone I came in contact with was very courteous and also spoke English so it was easy to communicate. Our room was small, as to be expected, but very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and all of the appliances were well taken care of. I really appreciated the smartphone that they provided in every room, because it really helped us out while we were traveling since we didn't opt to get international data from another service. The location was convenient as well, basically right at 2 exits leaving Hanzomon Station, so it was super easy to get to the subway. It's a bit out of the way from more bustling busy areas, but I somewhat preferred that since I would be able to return to a quiet and calm neighborhood after a busy day of sightseeing.

The check-in was very quick, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. I decided to book breakfast for the following morning only late the previous night, but they were extremely accommodating and efficient. Overall, a very good stay!

We stayed at the Hotel Monterey for four nights; and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The three of us has paid for an extra sofa bed. It turned out that the bed wasn’t a sofa bed and foldable as claimed. The worst part was that there was no room at all with three beds in the room. It more like, get into the room and you have to walk on the bed… The front desk service was terrible, and does not deserve a four star status with a rating of 83% satisfaction. Mr Sakabe was particular rude during the check in and was not helpful when we ask to borrow a vacuum cleaner to vacuum our travel pack. He simply refused by claiming that they don’t have vacuum cleaners situated in the hotel. I felt a bit of him insulting my intellectual intelligence. Overall, I would recommend you to stay if you are a couple or travel by yourself. There are better options out there, nonetheless. Overall, I give a 1 out of 10 for my experience staying
