Our stay
It was not what we thought it was going to be. Over priced for our basement room. Didn’t care for the breakfast or snacks. Huge fight occurred the weekend we were there, very noisy, police were called on a couple upstairs that was taken to the hospital.

Very Good 8.0
Excellent stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Amethyst Garden Inn, in Savannah! Overall, I think it was excellent. Chemise, the Inn Keeper, was wonderful and made a wonderful breakfast. I have a dairy allergy, and she accommodated me every morning with a dairy free version of whatever she made - which I thought was above and beyond! I also really enjoyed the Nespresso machine, rather than cheap coffee. She also had almond milk and coconut milk to offer with the coffee, which again, was really nice. We stayed in the Camellia room, which had a large balcony off the room (shares with another room, but no one was staying in that room, so it was all ours). We really enjoyed sitting out there at night with some wine after we walked 32,000 each day. =) There is also a very large porch expanding the whole length of the house in the back, with rocking chairs. We enjoyed sitting out there at times too. The pool was also a very refreshing treat to come back to after walking around all day, and before dinner. I do wish there was a few chaise lounges though instead of regular chairs. While still in the historic district, it is on the southeast corner, so you are not as close as some of the other hotels, but still a great location for the historic district. The front of the house could use some landscaping to create more of a curb appeal, and the upstairs could be a tad cooler in the evening, but like I said, overall, it was really nice and I would absolutely stay there again!

Exceptional 10.0
The only disappointment was the pool was closed due to an issue with the chemicals. On such warm days, it would have been nice to be by the pool. Hope the resolve that soon. We would return.

Poor 2.0
Not what we were expecting
This hotel was not what we were expecting. The service was poor, we arrived 2 hours before checkin and were told to leave, despite having traveled 5+ hours to get there. The owner did not recognize us when we returned 2 hours later and did not check our IDs before sending us to our room. We did not see any other guests while we were there, which was very strange. Bed was uncomfortable and room very sparse. Ultimately, we decided to leave soon after arriving as we did not feel comfortable at Amethyst Garden. Our only wish after this whole process was that we could be refunded for our second night. Due to hotel policy, which requires 2 whole weeks notice if you want any type of refund (absurd), we were out $600 and with a solidly bad taste in our mouth. If I were you, read this hotel description very carefully and think through what sort of vacation you want before booking. Beware of very strict cancellation policies!
