I recently stayed at the Modernist Hotel in New York and I have to say it was an exceptional experience. The hotel has a wonderful positive vibe, and it's located in a safe neighborhood. It's just an 8-minute walk from the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around the city. The hotel also has a gallery, which is a great way to spend an afternoon. The room was fantastic, with a kitchenette that included a fridge and microwave, making it easy to prepare some simple meals. The best part was the balcony that my room had, which provided a view of the surrounding area. The staff at the Modernist Hotel were wonderful, always friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself was also impeccably clean, with a very modern and stylish aesthetic. Overall, I would highly recommend the Modernist Hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in New York. It's a great location, with wonderful amenities, and fantastic staff. I would stay here again.

When we checked in there had been a problem (not sure what) with our room so they upgraded us and we had a great room (room 200)! It was a two room suite with a HUGE outdoor space. Seemed like a really good long term place too. It was very convenient to a flight out of La Guardia the next morning.
