Value for price
It’s was overall a good. The location is excellent but the building is old and hence the rooms are outdated. Hotel staff is excellent and helpful. The room was clustered with unnecessary furniture especially when the rooms are small and does not have much space. Cleanliness is ok considering old room. There was fridge, tv and coffee maker. Microwave and boiler will be available if you ask for it. Parking was underground heated and very convenient. The only think which bothered us was the smell of pot in the hallway. May be some unreasonable guests.

Great location and river view room worth it!
Great location!!! And if you like a view - the river view rooms are well worth the slightly higher price, you look right at the Bow River and can even have wild animals wander right by. Beautiful. Rooms are always clean (been many times) but nothing fancy and beds a bit on the hard side. Still the location over looking the river and yet two blocks from the heart of Banff is amazing!!

hard beds
The beds were very firm, like sleeping on the floor firm.

Wont stay here again!!;(
I payed for a river veiw the receptionist put us in a parkinglot view. He did correct it, but after we had got upset about it. There is not much for room to park. They limit you on whats in the room. No cups, not much tissue left for your stay. If you plan to stay more that 1 day, bring tissue. The rooms are hot. Stayed at 25. No controls to turn it down yourself. We had to sleep with the patio door open. This hotel is outdated. And needs to be updated to current hotel standards. Last but not the least there is only one person working as a receptionist. So you if you have any issues. Make sure you have 30-40 minutes to wait for them to help other to get to you

Rooms Clean. Eat Elsewhere.
We were pretty excited to have a river view and this room did not disappoint! What a lovely spot! From the photos you can tell this hotel is somewhat dated, but we got the studio suite with the gorgeous picture windows that appeared more modern. It was... Only the faux finishes were coming apart everywhere on the cabinets and beyond. The beds were okay. Not great, but okay. These things were a bit disappointing, but otherwise the room was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Great sound proofing. The main unfortunate thing was dinner. That's not entirely the hotel's fault except the lack of a map for access to the restaurant and the name of it displayed on the menu in the lobby and in the elevator. There are three hotels that share the same restaurant, but it's not very clear where it is. A map would have helped. The restaurant was incredibly expensive and the portions were miniscule. We also ordered spaghetti and meatballs for our girls to share and we're sent chicken parmesan. After the ordeal trying to order and locate the restaurant, we ended up just not complaining. But I would just plan to eat somewhere else if you stay here.

Good value for a comfortable stay
Clean and comfortable room with a nice view. Nothing fancy, just a decent price for what you get - would stay again

Hotel is fine for what it is - small rooms, older beds and furnishings, but convenient location. Pros - location to hospital and downtown. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Free onsite parking. Clean. Pleasant front desk service. Cons - tiny rooms. Uncomfortable double beds. One working TV channel. Wifi did not work. Musty smell to room. $15 charge to rent a microwave. This room was fine for what we needed, a 12 hr overnight stay to access the hospital across the stree(walking distance). Got a great deal $. Would not have paid more for this room. My husband stated he would def stay there for a cheap ski weekend with a buddy.
