My room was a little beat up. Definitely has seen better days but everything was clean and worked as it should. I’d say they’re due for a cosmetic update. I like that the windows open a bit for fresh air. I don’t like having to use my key to work the lights. If that’s required at least have the card slot glow instead of making me fumble for it when I came home at night. Staff was wonderful. Particularly in the restaurant and bar. Top notch. Food was also delicious.

Wonderful stay

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The complimentary slippers were a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and professional, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was wonderful and we were served coffee at our table a real treat. One small issue—our in-room telephone didn’t work, so we weren’t able to order room service. We ended up using a local takeaway instead, although we would have preferred to dine in. Hopefully, this is something that can be easily checked for future guests. The cleaning team at 09:00 were a little too noisy next door too but we managed to ignore. Overall, a fantastic stay and we would gladly return.

Excellent location and very good breakfast buffet

We had a superior floor with river view (the 7th floor) and the view was really amazing. Unfortunately there are some construction works on the other side of the river just now (July 2025) but it didn't disturb very much. Our room was very spacious but elderly. There aren't any roads near riverside rooms. We heard some music from nearby restaurants but our sleep quality was very good. The river view (not in every room), the central location (about halfway between Turku Cathedral and Turku Castle) and the breakfast buffet (additional charge) are the best parts of this hotel. Especially the dessert buffet was one of the best I have ever seen at breakfast (pancakes, cheeses, mud cake, carrot cake, caramel mini muffins, lemon cake, American chocolate cookies, churros, Danish pastries). So the extra charge for breakfast is definitely worth paying.

The best thing about this hotel was the location right on the river - we enjoyed many walks from it along the foot path. It was also nice and close to the Vaasibus stop on Martinsilta. The breakfast had lovely gluten free items. Our family room was massive and beds so comfortable. We would definitely return
