The bunk I had was comfortable. The kitchen was poorly equipped with tablewear, which made it difficult to serve food. Living room furniture was a bit worn down and the walls could use repainting in spots.

I came to LA from Atlanta to perform BET Awards weekend and I had such an amazing experience. The staff was very pleasant and professional. They answered the phone to answer my questions. I loved my room, and even when there was another young lady in the room we had no issues and a mutual respect. I was in and out at night because of my shows and appearances and I used public transportation and was safe. Now I’m also a city person so I’m used to commuting and don’t advise it to everyone. I LOVED the rooftop! It could use a little update on the furniture and maybe the paint but the price is reasonable and I believe affordable! I did also use the kitchen I only made noodles and I bring my or but my own utensils and plastic dishware. I did also clean the kitchen and bathroom before I used them just habit. Will definitely be staying here next year for the BET Awards Weekend!

Greyhound arrived too late @ UnionStation for me to catch the Amtrak-CoastStarlight. (for which I had (fortunately) not (yet) bought a ticket.) So, I had to improvise and decided to stay overnight in LA to catch the A-CS the next morning. I did quite a bit of online searching to find somewhere to stay with: an acceptable price & acceptable "facilities" and acceptable transportation options to/from UnionStation. My stay @ BoutiqueHostel went fine. I had a lower bunk in a 4-person mixed room with "ensuite" shower/toilet ~ which were clean. I stashed some food/water in the freezer overnight. I went to bed after checking-in and left before 5am to go to a downtown YMCA ~ before heading for UnionStation. I would stay at BoutiqueHostel again ~ for a similar layover. Not sure I would try to have a holiday while staying @ BoHo ~ which is geared more towards "co-living" for LA residents than for "HolidayTravellers".

I wasn't expecting much since it is a hostel. But the room was very dirty, the kitchen and community rooms were not really usable and dirty. I cpuldn't sleep most of the nights because the other visitors were extremely loud. The landlord was really rude, didn't remember we paid for parking and got mad when an other visitor contacted him because our car was blocking them and instead of taking care of contacting us, he told us later that day, that this was not acceptable and we would have to find pther parking arrangements if the other visitors couldn't reach us via phone
