Exceptional 10.0
Clean, comfy, and in a quiet neighborhood
I booked the standard single room and it was wonderful! Tiny compared to American standard rooms, but still pretty spacious. I had enough space to lay my 24" luggage flat down on the floor when needed and then tucked it away under the desk. Surrounding area is mostly offices, but there plenty of restaurants (and awesome nightlife!) around the Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. The hotel is located on top of a hill, so travelling with heavy luggage will be a challenge (especially if you are coming from Akasaka Station). There is a small fridge in the room, but no water. However, there is a coffee machine and vending machine on the first floor. The coin laundry is also on the first floor. Walls are a bit thin, but I had a room right next to the elevators so maybe people were just loud. Lastly the blackout curtains were a big plus! Would definitely stay here again!

Poor 2.0
Uncomfortable hotel with noisy tourists screaming
The hotel is up the hill so we ended up draggging our suitcases up the hill. The neighborhood is nice, and the hotel is in good condition and new. However the walls are extremely thin and we constantly heard noisy tourists shouting loudly across the hallways in midnight and 6:30am Sunday morning. The single rooms are extremely small and we had to close the suitcase otherwise not able to move. The toilet has a huge noise everytime it flushes by itself autmomically as it is controlled by a sensor. The WiFi is extremely slow so I ended up using my own data. The bed is hard. Overall I had a very uncomfortable stay feeling stressed with screamings from mainland tourists on the floor. I ended up getting sick the day after as I barely got any sleep feeling stressed out by the noises.
