Stay was terrific but faced billing issues once returning to the U.S..
On arrival they asked for me to put down a hold for each of the 3 rooms that I booked with them. Their credit card machine was malfunctioning and they asked for me to return in a few hours as they held onto my credit card and I was happy to accommodate, these things happen sometimes. After a few hours I returned and the credit card machine was still not working and they asked for me to return the next morning to try again. Again, I had no issue with this since I can understand technical difficulties. Eventually the card was charged 3 times for the hold. Stay was great, clean facilities, central location, nice spacious rooms. It was not until my return did the headache occur.
From the staff at Xoma, "In the last few days, we had problems with our bank returning your hold through the system. That’s why I dare to bother you by requesting the following information to make the process faster for your deposit".
They requested, my swift code, bank account #, ABA, address etc. all things required for a money transfer but I was not okay with sharing my private information. Some wouldn’t bat an eye sending this information but at this point I’ve been dealing with them for days with this issue and I was not comfortable doing so.
It's been almost 3 months since my stay and I'm still working on the dispute with my credit card company for holds on 3 rooms.
