Our first time at an all inclusive resort. I feel like Excellence has set the bar pretty high for any future trips of this nature. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a glass of bubbly. Room was large and had a balcony. We overlooked a pool and could see the ocean. Bed was comfortable enough but could use softer linens. Many pools and nooks to relax in, especially in the spa area. We mostly relaxed at the beach. They clean the beach constantly. Water was warm and clear. Staff are amazing. They are the stars of the show and work incredibly hard. Everyone everywhere says hello, asks if you need anything - and it all feels genuine. People are constantly taking care of the grounds. The resort is immaculate. Special thanks to Memo for helping us find the fitness center (which has great equipment!), Moses, Juan, Andres, Jose and many many other servers at the restaurants, and Alberto at Reception. I love the pools by the spa and the spa services. The building is very calm and relaxing. The Aqua circuit was fun and ends with you wrapped up like a baby. Drinks were delicious, particularly from the Martini bar. Food was great and staff go out of their way to get you what you want. I would recommend to anyone to stay here and will definitely consider a return visit myself.
My experience overall was terrible! First, we went to this hotel because it said that it was taking extra precautions due to COVID 19. Which is a lie!!! All the guest were not obligated to wear mask. We were one of the few people to wore one! Second, we were offer a free COVID 19 test in the hotel. Which we were told that we were the first ones . When we went to do the test they had a list of guest outside the room and another guest list inside the room . Which this means that every time the lab tech call us to go in and do the test he was calling the wrong names. We had to tell him our names. Once we got in he explained the procedure, after, he took the specimen from my nostrils he turn around and mixed my specimen with the other guest specimen. I wasn’t ask my birthday and I didn’t see him write my name or any other information on the tube. At night, we were told that 1 test came out positive out of the 6 people that we were together, which didn’t make sense since we were always together and wearing a mask. The birthday boy was the positive one which he was told to stay in the room and not to come out at all. The 6 of us did a COVID test in order to travel and they were negative! We ask to see our results, they didn’t give it to us until the following day and it turns out that the positive test. Had the wrong day of birth,it means that it wasn’t his test! He repeated the test there and it was negative. We are mad because we went there to celebrate his birthday and couldn’
The service in restaurants and on the beach was very friendly and professional. I receive many personal services like eating whatever I liked in the restaurant I select. The other thing that I guess would be good is to ask clients to wear mask as a protection for Covid. In 9 days only one guest and myself used masks.
This was our third time at Excellence. We enjoyed our time away.I’ll review the Excellent, Good, and Annoying. Let’s start with Covid. We wore masks until we made it to the hotel. At the hotel no customers were wearing masks but we could social distance, the only place I would recommend bringing a mask is breakfast because you are up and walking around to get your food. For breakfast it’s a buffet but you can’t get your own, you have to request the staff make your toast, etc.

This was the most amazing vacation ever. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt completely pampered and taken care of. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was AMAZING! It’s going to be very hard to convince me to stay at a different resort next time I go to Mexico because the service and the food alone were over 5 star service for sure.
The food was excellent as well as the services! Everyone is always wearing a smile and made us feel at home. Would definitely be back again!
This was our second visit to Excellence Riviera. The level of service from the staff was terrific and was certainly a highlight. The restaurants are all open and the quality is very high. We also love the rooms. This resort has become our favorite and we're looking forward already to our next visit.
Superb! Staff, TLS at it's best.Super friendly and attentive service.Spotless rooms , restaurans, coffee shop, restrooms...pools are superb, beach being takjen care off starting from 7am till dusk so seaweeds are not bothering anyone, rooms service, barmen, attendants-everyone is superb! Oasis especially if you walk up and down the beach and see other hotel's beaches in a very poor shape ...good food etc etc, Thank you Marissa-concierge, Pablo at beach restaurant (hamburgers there are heavenly-great cook that lady is), Nero (I hope this was his name-a waiter in the restaurant Grille), Innocencia-great host.People in charge of cleaning rooms and changing towels along with replenishing room bar-thank you all very much.The only thing I would recommend-since every staff member is required to speak at least some english-please apply this to the TV channels line up :-) Almost any channel is in spanish which is very confusing ..some of ud do not mind to watch some movie before bad time...or some of out TV shows as well and adding US channels woul be nice.Hopefully we will be back soon enough.In times like this-a geat escape !!!
