Banff - August 2015
Great lodge in the Banff National Park. I was first surprised on how close to each other the cabins are, but after seeing more lodges in the park I realised that is the 'standard'. I guess it might be due to the 'dangers of nature' (bears, elks... avalanches?... just guessing). Also, all lodges seem to have been built near the train line. We were shocked to hear the train whistle and first were scared about not having a quite night... but insulation was good and the trains not so bad. 17 was a nice, spacious cabin with all you need. The next 'cabin' is attached to it... so it depends a bit on what neighbours you get. Kitchens super well equipped, BBQ available, fire pit (kids loved the marshmallows), hot tub and play room. Some nice short hikes right around the corner. Store offers a nice selection of 'all you need' and a very friendly staff.

We stayed here 10 years ago and decided to return for our anniversary this year. We stayed in a Deluxe One Bedroom Chalet for 2 nights like we did last time. The wood burning fireplace is always well stocked, and the Chalet is very cozy and comfortable. Things to note, the train tracks are very close, on average 4 freight trains pass by each night, and being right by a junction they are required to use their horns. The internet is all but unusable, just use your data on your cell phone. The TV in our Chalet was nearly dead, but were informed that they will be replaced soon. One last comment, after checkout an unknown rude staff member shouted across the empty parking lot that we couldn't park there, a little stunned and offended after spending close to $500, we moved our car and went for one last hike up to Silverton Falls, follow trail #2.

Great family place
A collection of log cabins of different sizes midway between banff and lake louise. had a 2 bedroom cabin which was a good size. has a great communal recreation centre, fire pits, bbqs .a general store has a wide variety of food and general items. Maybe a little expensive butbrealky enjoyed our stay.

Easy to find . Awsome location , very convenient
Overall it was a great place to stay. The staff are easy to talk to and answer any enquiries quickly and professionally. The train could be an issue for some but it didn't bother me. The cabins are what you would expect, a little tired but comfortable , clean and cosy . Great spot

Wonderful cabin experience and a great staff!
Our cabin #9 was wonderful and so was the staff. Limited availability of store and staff - but that's expected in a more remote cabin setting. The cabins were wonderful. High ceilings, large rooms, comfortable beds. Luxury cabins! WiFi was slow to non-existent but shouldn't you be trying to get away from that for a while anyway? We used out cell phone signal which was fine. There was a hot tub in the absolutely huge bathroom. Fireplace and wood/kindling also provided. Even a front porch with deck chairs. We loved it here. My only improvement would be in the number and variety of cooking utensils/equipment provided - other than that, I'd be back there again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
